Late in May, Jean "petit Jean" Sarthou, a good friend of my time in spent in France, passed away. He loved the ocean, we surfed many many years together, he was most passoniate than me and chose to stay put in his native Landes.

offBrief III - THE Night of Creative Debauchery

OK people, this is it, chapter 3 of offBrief will be this Saturday 26 May at 1/5. You know, the night for the ad industry, for us creative and non-creative types. The ones who like to drink, party and be merry. Freaking good music, freaking good drinks, free booze and all of your long time friends you haven't seen in a while (and all the new ones you'll be making).

This one is special as we will be celebrating two very special moments:
1) We will bid farewell to 1/5 as this night will be their closing night for the season, chillin’out this Summer to prepare ourselves for yet another chapter in Hong Kong’s exclusive nightlife. Over the past six yeears, 1/5 has continuously supported the advertising industry and we thank them for allowing us to close their chapter with offBrief.
2) I will be celebrating my birthday. While one week ahead of time, this year's festivities will be going on for 3 weeks in a row with special events each weekends. Next instalment will take place at KEE Club.

So don't make any excuses. Come on down for offBrief infused with all your creative juices and let's party down while bidding farewell to 1/5 and making plans for our next venue.

Man I'm happy it's done and over with. It's been a long process from conceptualisation to the whole thing being live. It's a great piece of advertising and I do hope it will be every bit entertaining as it was for us coming up with it.

Welcome to offbrief version 2.0, another night of total creative debauchery. We know, it’s been a while since the highly successful first chapter but hey, we’ve been busy producing work (and collecting a few awards) since our last encounters and I’m sure we’re not the only ones!

So without further ado, let’s celebrate the end of the summer and going back to school in true debauchery style. Join us for the second chapter this Saturday 14 October, and discover offbrief version 2.0.

As we haven’t caught up in a while, come meet your old friends and make new ones, discuss the latest ads, gossips, rant if you want to or share Cannes memories with the ones you never got to meet because you were too busy in the “gutter”.

The summer is finally over and people are back to town. I was up for my first going back to school party with the Remy Martin Frozen launch at 1/5, spinning to an packed club of over 500 people. Crazy Wednesday night if you ask me.

I also tried blending the musicology of DJ Cove into insertion's mash up and that prooved successful, which will see us battle it out a lot more in the future. China, here we come!

In the meantime, it's business as usual with Offbrief volume 2 coming up on October 7 at 1/5 and Electroclash at KEE (date TBC) along with the FTLOH (ForTheLoveOfHouse) series during weekends at KEE.

We're off to Bali on the weekend of the 15 September for Zue and Cove's wonder wedding that will see 10 DJ's taking over the wedding for 72h! So stay and home and relax, that weekend will be quiet in Hong Kong as we'll all be down in the island of the Gods!
